This was my first Brynne Weaver novel, and I’m looking forward to reading more! I loved this slow burn. The spice level was perfect. I especially liked the foreshadowing of Larke and Lachlan being the main characters in the next novel, and I’m excited to learn more about them. As far as the cannibalism is concerned, it’s gross but not Tender is the Flesh level graphic. Do read those trigger warnings!

This is an amazing novel. The characters are beautifully written, and the story is very compelling.

This book was very much like the movie. I don't usually read junior novels, but since I really like the DolphinTale movies, I decided to try them. It was a good read. Favorite character: Sawyer or Clay.
