I Survived the Wellington Avalanche, 1910
by Lauren Tarshis

This book kind of reminds me of Murder on the Orient Express. The characters are stuck on a train in a snow storm and there is a criminal on board the train. Maybe my new favorite in the series. Totally recommend!

4.7 stars! I love the Hardy Boys series!!

Where We Belong: An Orphan Train Novel

This was such a heartwarming, incredible read. A part made me cry, the development was wonderfully written, however, I could predict the ending from the first 2 chapters (though it was satisfying to read it played out.) I am, however, thoroughly disappointed in how rushed the ending was. The love story was very rushed and expected instead of allowing time for that relationship to develop. This is more a story of how a woman became a mother, which was absolutely lovely. I just wish the ending wasn’t so rushed.

3.5 stars. Short but funny. I think it would be a good story for two people to read.

Again, great book! I really like the Babymouse comic series and I would definitely recommend.

4.5 stars. I like the movie more than the book.

It was really good! I’m very curious now, did she ever talk to Astrid again? Great summer book!

In Your Dreams

I like the different perspectives and how the story ended. I appreciated the author's note at the beginning of an explicit scene that way when I came to it I wasn't caught off guard and could skip it. Towards the end it got intense/dramatic.

Project Hail Mary
by Andy Weir

There were moments I felt like I wasn’t smart enough for this book, Andy Weir goes deep into the science, but I ended up appreciating how much attention to detail he puts into everything. The plot is SO good and totally lives up to the hype. Once Rocky was introduced, I finally understood why everyone recommends the audiobook. I’ll definitely be rereading it that way soon!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: the Third Wheel

This book was pretty good. I like Rowley a lot better than Greg, but I like Greg's diaries more than the Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid series. It's a nice read when you don't want to read a really long book.
