Good book for any age. Would've preferred a different ending, but overall good book.

I really like the lesson in this book that just because you're job isn't the coolest or the most exciting, it doesn't mean you not still a hero in someones eyes. And for Junie B., that hero is the janitor, Gus Vallony, who had helped her and William when they needed it.

This is an amazing novel. The characters are beautifully written, and the story is very compelling.

This was my first Brynne Weaver novel, and I’m looking forward to reading more! I loved this slow burn. The spice level was perfect. I especially liked the foreshadowing of Larke and Lachlan being the main characters in the next novel, and I’m excited to learn more about them. As far as the cannibalism is concerned, it’s gross but not Tender is the Flesh level graphic. Do read those trigger warnings!
